Hi! So I agree with you about cersei’s death and while we disagree in some things (I do think that the punishment should fit the crime) I think you’re dead on about misogyny in this series I love ASOIAF with all my heart but the discrepancy in the treatment give to Twin’s children That’s why I very concerned with jaime being able to redeem himself since seems a given that tyrion will go down the same path It looks unjust that cersei be the only one that cannot be saved Thanks 4 the time xoxo

When I say “I don’t believe that the severity of the punishment should match the severity of the crimes”, what I’m saying is that I much prefer the Stark way of approaching crime: the facts are laid out, you’re given a chance to defend yourself, and then depending on what you did, you’re punished for it. If you kill one person, you’re beheaded, if you kill 100 people but also torture and mutilate them, you’re still beheaded with no other punishment attached. I just don’t believe in systems where “if this person did x to a person, then kills them, they should have x done to them too”.

Redemption is something a lot of people want for their favorite characters, but I’m wary of it. Some people just can’t be redeemed.

Thank you for dropping in!
