dragon age awknowleges racism and colorism exists in it’s setting (ex. duncan “wishing he was pale” as a kid + a dialogue with cole and vivienne) and yet it still deems conflicts with like, mages and elfs to be more worthy of attention its so infuriating. like i dont want any of these writers near an actual story of racism but its so clear they only see it as a background decoration to occasionally demean their black characters with no repercussions because its “woke”. die
my good friend terran is tight on money and time right now and is offering a copy of his novel to anyone who can spare $5 or more. he’s an extremely skilled writer and one of the most hardworking people i know and any help would mean a hell of a lot. all the info & more is in the link in the title. thanks!
Hey folks! After a long delay on my part, I’ve combined and edited together the three parts of my Politics of Dorne essay, which is now up on Tower of the Hand…
You talk about vengance. Is vengance going to bring your son back to you or my boy to me? I forgo the vengance of my son. But my youngest son had to leave this country because of this Sollozzo business. So now I have to make arraingments to bring him back safely cleared of all these false charges. But I’m a supersticious man. And if some unluck accident should befall him, if he should be shot in the head by a police officer, or if should hang himself in his jail cell, or if he’s struck by a bolt of lightning… *then I’m going to blame some of the people in this room*… and that, I do not forgive. But, that aside, let say that I swear, on the souls of my grandchildren, that I will not be the one to break the peace we have made here today. (The Godfather – 1972)
