If you don’t mind me asking, what caused your cystic acne and what did you do to help it clear up? i never had bad breakouts and have been recently getting them due to PCOS. It’s honestly so discouraging and I miss having my clear skin

cause is still unclear, but i suspect it’s related to my currently undiagnosed and untreated GI problems, so quite frankly i should probably get that sorted soon. i had a very bad experience with my first GI doctor and have been avoiding them since, but that’s a different story. i do not have PCOS though.

as for clearing my skin up, nothing worked until i went to a dermatologist. they put me on antibiotics and prescription 0.3% adapalene (better known as differin;  the OTC product is 0.1%). i’m still on both meds and have been since november of last year i think? but yes if you haven’t seen a derm already and have the means to, i highly recommend it. they get results much faster than home remedies do, and trust me, i tried to fix it at home for a very long time before i gave up.

okay it’s one thing to refute my original post which is your prerogative or whatever but it’s a whole other thing entirely to keep coming back and combing through every other reblog and reply so you can type an essay on how they’re wrong and you’re right…… based entirely off a completely speculative theory with no hard evidence to speak of. im just gonna stop letting this person blow up my notes and just block them.

my bare skin looks so good now… it used to be so bad with cystic breakouts and now it’s so smooth and nearly scarless! i dont wear face makeup except for concealer under my eyes whereas i used to wear full foundation every day just to hide my acne!!

hiranyaksha:

I’ve recently had the privilege of illustrating for Golbarg Bashi’s “Counting Up the Olive Tree,” which is a children’s counting book that involves themes of the Palestinian struggle. You can read more on it here and support it here! (If you aren’t familiar with the author, she also wrote “P is for Palestine”!)
